Overview
An aluminium pivot entry door: the leaf turns on a concealed axis set in from the jamb rather than on hinges at the edge, which is what lets a very large and very heavy door swing under a light push and gives the entrance its characteristic reveal on both sides as it opens. Three designs are drawn — a stacked five-lite panel, a six-lite panel usually flanked by sidelights, and a full-glass leaf for tall stone-clad entries — and all three are built as armoured doors.
It sits alongside the custom entry door as the minimal, engineered half of the entry range. That door is hinged and made to a drawing, with decorative panel faces and an envelope that changes design by design; this one is a fixed family of three, defined by the pivot action and by glass. The size envelope reflects that: the two panelled designs reach 2,300 mm wide by 4,000 mm tall, and the full-glass design is deliberately narrow at 1,300 mm, which is the trade for a single uninterrupted lite. Panels are 106 mm thick on the 105 armoured series, with the full-glass design also available on the thinner 85 mm glass-door series.
Swing is specified as left- or right-hand inswing, left- or right-hand outswing, or double inswing or outswing, and the opening can be widened with a single or double sidelite, a transom, a sidelite-plus-transom combination, or a curved transom over either sidelite arrangement. That is the whole configuration grammar for the family — the variation is in glazing pattern and finish rather than in the operating mechanism.
Locking is a multi-point steel latch with three points as standard, an adjustable roller latch for seal compression and a euro-profile cylinder, and up to two further locking points can be added. A pivot closer controls the leaf: adjustable soft-close, hydraulic backcheck and self-closing with a hold-open option, with an upgraded unit available for the largest and heaviest doors. A concealed spring-loaded drop seal at the bottom of the leaf lowers automatically as the door closes, sealing against draughts, noise, smoke and light without a raised threshold. Glazing is a dual-pane low-E argon unit as standard, with triple pane available wherever the glazing thickness can exceed 3/4"; tempered glass is standard throughout, and obscure and custom between-the-glass art glass are options. Coverage is ten years on glass and ten years on non-glass parts, transferable and not prorated.

Mounting and frame options
The frame type decides the rough-opening detail, the flashing and how much of the existing wall has to come out. Four are available; tell us the wall build-up and we will specify which one your opening needs.
The standard new-construction frame. The flange laps the sheathing so the unit sets and seals in one operation.
A 1 3/8" flange is available where the cladding build-up needs the extra reach.
Installs over an existing aluminum window frame, so the stucco exterior is left intact. No cutting back and repatching.
Available on selected window types — ask us which of your openings can take it before you price the stucco work.
For full removal, when the existing frame is rotten or damaged and has to come out entirely.
Sets into the existing rough opening, and arrives with the through-the-jamb holes pre-drilled and the screws supplied.
Straps fix to the frame, which lets the unit sit anywhere in the depth of the wall cavity rather than at a fixed setback.
Installs from the interior, and works for both new construction and replacement.

Factory-joined combinations for large openings
Multi-unit combinations are joined in the factory and delivered as one assembly, so the joint is made under shop conditions instead of on a scaffold. The joining mullion is 1 1/8" (28 mm) wide and comes in three reinforcement grades, chosen by the height of the window it has to carry. The system is covered by a US patent.
